A Website Without Video is Like…

Jell-O No Whip CreamDo you like Jell-O? It's okay I guess, I mean, it's not a hot fudge sundae is it? But if you add a little cream to whip, and then my friend, you have something of value calling dessert. My question is to you, your site that have something more, that dollop of whip cream on top that says, "oh mama allow me to him", or does it simply must be squirming in your plate with the sound of the voice of Peggy Lee ears buzzing, "is that all there is?" If your website disappointments, you need something that provides the "eureka" factor and can be provided with a creative, informative Web-video. The Chicago Bulls Michael JordanHow Without the mighty have fallen, at least in terms of brand personality. I mean, it's not like the Chicago Bulls stench? It's just that without MJ they are not the old Chicago Bulls. When Michael has played us all followed, it was magical, it was not only a great basketball player, he has a great personality and he gave to the team this character, no Michael, no personality. Does your website as the new Chicago Bulls, a group of talented players with skills but no singular personality? The time injection of humanity, adding a Web video featuring a host signature character that can generate some excitement and to prepare your company unique personality. Television without SoundYou're watch your favourite television show, say CSI, the one not Vegas Miami, and the telephone rings. It's your mother. You turn the TV sound down so that you can hear, but you can still watch the show. Like your mom but Grissom has just discovered a new killer miniature bull by the horns and you need to know what's happening, but your mother has on the way your father needs a new dentures or something? Frustrating. No sound, no information.Does your website has the same effect as watching television without sound. It is there, people visit, but they will not leave your message. Time to add a little life to your presentation in the form of a Web video that tells a story aloud. Without words MeaningHave you ever read the website copy someone several times and still not understand what the hell they are trying to tell you, or perhaps you understand every word but still can not understand what they sell? The words have meaning, they are meant to convey a message not to hide. A video lousy script is no better than lousy copy. Your Web audience has no patience for mumbo-jumbo that masquerades information, or to the text and dialogue that says nothing in as many words as possible in an effort to attract search engines. The words have any meaning, they say it with style and deliver them with conviction. The Rumba Without RhythmHave you ever sat at a wedding and watched people dance? There are people who know how to move, how to respond to their partners and to communicate with the slightest gestures and movements. And then there are others who look like they have something icky stuck to the bottom of their shoes and trying desperately to remove it. If you want to communicate to your audience, you must use all available techniques. Communication is more than just a copy, voice, gesture, movement and meaningful dialogue. Romance without KissesAh? The first kiss, something special that can seal a sour relationship or forever. Your page is like that first embrace. Is yours as exciting as it could be, or is it like the guy who spends the entire first time to talk about his double entry book-keeping skills? A well-designed, in the company of marketing message is presented as a seduction; if you do not generate any excitement do not expect to generate any sales either. Boring balderdash mission statement and keyword palaver in charge are not the same as attractive video. A story engaging business, said, it is a moist and juicy right planted on the lips of your audience. A Joke Without A Punch LineEverybody loves a funny story. A good joke is nothing more than a short story with a set-up, climbing, and a twist, but the real key to a good story lies in the narration. Even with comedians second material can get their audience howl if they know how to deliver their material. It's nice to repeat the mantra, websites are on the content, but if the content is not delivered with a certain style and panache, do not expect everyone very carefully. A Song Without A HookHit songs are highly structured stories with which to operate as chapters or acts, and a chorus that provides the hook that sticks in the head of your audience. Add a few toe-tapping beat and instrumental flourishes, and you have something that people will listen to over and over again. Is this the presentation of your website? Are people willing to come back to your site just to watch your presentation, or let visitors to your website with a 'been there, done that' feeling? Without information KnowledgeJust because you are in business does not mean that you have to be boring. And just because you dump a lot of facts and figures and points of fleas on your webpage does not mean that you made a convincing argument for anyone to buy your stuff. Public Web require more. If you do not give it to them, you can be sure someone else will, like maybe your competitors. Without interactivity PurposeCan us all stop and take a breath and think about the whole thing interactivity. Let's all interactive, why? I mean what is still interactivity? Is it develop extremely expensive game that people can play on your site to avoid working, or is it to get them to click on the "Tell Me More"? I vote for interactivity, which led to the opening of a dialogue with a potential client, the one who receives visitors to pick up the phone and call you to discuss their needs, and not one that generates a "Game Over" ; message. Of course, this assumes that you are willing to really talk to customers. Frequency Without ResonanceI happened as vinegar on my chips, ok c'est bizarre, I admit, but the Dutch like mayonnaise on their even weirder. Once I had a chef in a restaurant Tucson out of the kitchen and face when I asked the server vinegar (it's a Canadian thing). The chief approached the table and asked who ordered the vinegar? I raised my hand to regret. "You must be from Canada," he said, "I am in Victoria, where are you from?" Good advertising is all about delivering a message that resonates with your audience. It does not matter how many times you run an ad if it does advertising impression on your audience. You can not be afraid to be creative or even a little bizarre. LaughterDr without humor. Max Sutherland in his electronic newsletter report, "False Alarm Theory: How Humorous Ads Work" describes how laughter is a mechanism related residual that developed in the present day as a monkey 'all clear signal once was a danger past. The 'all clear' message is transmitted from monkeys to another, until the whole troupe is screeching to the ecstasy of survival. A guy slips on a banana and broke his neck - it is not funny. A guy slips on a banana, jumps and look around to see if anyone saw - it's fun. The humour is based on creating a feeling of uncertainty and tension that will eventually be relieved with a humorous punch line or comforting resolutions. The safe or fun resolution creates a chain reaction in the audience signals, "Hay guys, everything is good, everything is back to normal." Without tension there can be using ' emergency, no chance for entertainment resolution that creates a cascading viral reaction from your audience. So, do not expect your website to be sent to friends and colleagues, unless you provide a presentation that will signal to the world that all is well.
